A couple of years ago my daughter started studying photography at school. She has always had an eye for photography and a natural talent. Watching her develop as a photographer and some of the subjects she was shooting blew my mind. Things I had once thought ugly or abhorrent took on a whole new meaning and beauty all of their own. Without realising it she encouraged me to pick up a camera again and start experimenting and learning again.
Carrying on my black and white urban theme, this is latest picture from Salford. Not the most picturesque place but there is something about the way this building is slowly being adapted into an urban art piece. Did I really just say that, a couple of years ago I would have said it was an eyesore. Seeing the work through the lens and my daughters eyes has given me a completely different perspective.
