Wet Day in Manchester

Despite the rumours it does not rain everyday in Manchester it just rains a lot. But doesnt spoil a walk around the city centre.

St Peters Square has been redeveloped in recent years making it a large attractive public space that fits well with Manchesters other tradition of public protest.

From the Peterloo Massacre to Emmeline Pankhurst and the suffragettes to the current climate change protests and veterans protests this area of Manchester has seen them all.

Let’s hope the ability to hold peaceful protest continues for ever in Manchester.
