After a long and boring motorway drive we arrived at the shores of Loch Lomond in torrential rain and murk. But despite the weather, for me it marks that start of the highlands, freedom and our eventual destination the Outer Hebrides.
We arrived at #Tyndrum or more commonly know as the Green Welly Stop, the name of the main store and petrol station. Weather was still horrible so we walked the dogs around the village and retired to our Wendy House Treker Hut at the By The Way Hostel and Camp site..
The hut was on a lovely campsite close to the railway station. 4 bed bunk and spotlessly clean. Toilet block was the same. It’s also on the West Highland Way for anyone walking it and they a have drying room for walkers to use. I can definitely recommend it.
