The weather changes constantly in the Outer Hebrides. It’s a windy place and what passes for a storm elsewhere in the UK is a mild breeze in the Isle of Lewis. The weather is part of what makes the people and the landscape very special. #isleoflewis @outerhebs #guardiantravelsnaps #justgoshoot #peoplescreatives #exploretocreate #passionpassport #BestVacations #worldtravelbook #theoutbound #lifeofadventure

Hi, just moved up from London. A guy in the pub introduced me to a place called Rivington and I love it.
I’ve been involved in outdoors before but don’t know anyone local. The mention of a walking group sounds great. Is it a social group or is it a youth thing. I have had a bad experience with youth work but I’d be really interested if it’s an adult social thing.
Can you give me any details, costs ect.
Thank you
Steve

Hi Steve. Welcome to the North West of England. To be honest I have not got the group of the ground as life has been so busy recently. I am hoping to start walks soon initially aimed at local carers to help give them some time outdoors. But happy to chat about other walks. And yes Rivington and the surrounding area are a beautiful place with some lovely walks.
